So here is my first draft of a cover for Cassell’s Popular Gardening<\/i>. As much as I wanted a spare, modern style for 200 Eggs<\/i>, I wanted something much more old-fashioned for this one, which is a turn-of-the-century English gardening encyclopedia. This is the first of four volumes. <\/p>\n

My only concern is that the bottom text fades away in this thumbnail, and will virtually vanish at 150px, but I think I can live with that. I’ll sleep on it.<\/p>\n

The illustrations are all finished and I’m creating a Kindle file so that I can re-check the formatting. Then one last proofreading pass through the text, and once I’m convinced about the cover, I’ll hit publish.
