It should be out sometime today. They have a lot to say about how each of them came to sign up for a one-book deal with Amazon’s new publishing imprint. Link when I find it. And here it is.

Quick couple of links for you:

• Louise Voss and Mark Edwards report that their novel Killing Cupid finally cracked the Amazon Top 100 list. They attribute their success to a change in their book’s blurb. Read the rest to see what they did.

• I haven’t messed around much with Google ebook publishing system, and I don’t know many writers who have. But according to the news site Good E-reader, Google had a big presence at the Bookexpo America convention. Google wants to be a big name in the ebook field, and as a top Internet gorilla they’ll no doubt find a way. Guess it’s time to learn more about their publishing platform.

• Edit to add: I had to link to this BNet report on the Book Expo. It has the most delicious line ever, describing the commercial publishers there.

The industry is a mass of silent film stars telling each other that the talkies are no threat.

• At The Novelette, L B Gschwandtner has an interview with best-selling indie author John Locke discussing how he marketed his work and became the great success he is. Good reading for the rest of us.

And now, off to read Barry and Joe.
